Australiahas many characteristics that made it unique.For example,it’s flora andfauna,it’s nature resources,it’s landform,it’s river systems and it’s humancharacteristics.
The reason why there are many physicalfeatures is because the continent was isolated from others millions of yearsago.
Australiahas unique plants and animals.80% of plants there cannot be seen anywhere elsearound the world naturally.They’ve got wet and dry sclerophyll forests,bushlands,rainforests and so on.There are special types of animals here like themarsupials and monotremes.It’s because their predators and competitors do notexist there.Other animals like reptiles,amphibians,birds are very differentthere too.They all developed features that suits the Australiaenvironment.
Australiahasn’t got a lot of water resources but there are other resources like mineraland energy which they’ve got a lot.The most important mineral exports are ironore,bauxite and so on.Most of them can be found in the western plateauregion.Energy like fuel are from swamps buried millions of years ago.
Australiahas unique landform.It’s the flattest and lowest continent on the earth.Thehighest mountain there (Mt.Kosciusko) is 2228 metershigh.
The biggest drainage basin here is theMurry-Daring drainage basin.It holds the MurryRiver and the Daring Riverand flow to the Great Australia Bright.
People in Australia are very unique as well.Australia is amulti-culture country which have people from many culture backgrounds.It hasthe most culture diversity in the world.
So as we can see,Australia is avery unique country with unique physical and human characteristics.
