习语是人们在长期使用语言的过程中形成的相对比较固定的搭配,有其特殊的形式,不宜改变,因此我们在使用和翻译中要尤其引起注意.为了使英汉习语的翻译能最大限度地体现东西方文化的巨大差异,针对每条习语的具体情况,根据上下文的语境来确定它的具体含义,并采用相应的翻译策略,如直译法、意译、借用法、补译法、节译法和音译加注法等,使译文不仅能准确地表达原文的意义,而且还能再现原作的艺术风貌.
