59th Peace Art Exhibition:Call for Submissions
Due to the recent earthquake,Tsunami and subsequent nuclear power plant accident that occurred in Eastern japan,unparalleled damage was sustained in the region.At present,everyone in japan is working hard to put our collective knowledge and recovering from the devastation as quickly as possible.
The Peace Art Exhibition was organized with the strong desire to make sure that the horrors of war are never repeated.In this sense,we believe that the exhibition has an extremely important role to play in terms of bringing the voices of various artists together regarding their expenriences of war,so that these may be passed on to others before they are forgotten.
At the presenf time,the act of war has been turned into an industry,and military arsenals are continuing tobe expanded.japan has one of the highest concentrations in the world of U.S.military bases,for which a "Japan is also continuing its own military budget allocations as well.
This exhibition seeks to explore the question of the true meaning of beauty,and to transcend ideology and sentiments in order to speak directly to peoples' hearts regarding our strong hopes for peace.
