题目------- A wonderful expenience

This summer from July 12 to16, 2004, I had the opportunity of attending the 1st annual Student Fellows Program in the hope of learning some valuable ideas on how to help my school start their own Student Ethics Office. I was fortunate in receiving much more than just a few lines of information… I took back a whole new experience that has enriched my personality and left a permanent mark on my memory.
The days I spent at the SFP were full of learning and enjoyment. The warmth with which everyone treated each other was especially a very comforting factor in a new environment. From the word go, the organizers of the program showed us that being an Ethics Officer is all about listening to one and other, appreciating and welcoming everyone's opinion, being confident and forming balanced judgments that would help everybody. All of these characteristics focused on the fact that when one is striving to achieve a common goal it is always beneficial to work as a cohesive team and it is very important that we trust each other. These factors were reinforced to us almost daily through various group activities and icebreakers we took part in. The friendship that developed amongst all of us, as a result of this, was extremely visible when we did an activity in which everyone had to write down a fact about him or herself, that not even their closest friends would know. These facts were then subsequently read aloud during the course of the day. I felt that this really re-affirmed the trust we all had in each other to such an extent that we didn't mind disclosing embarrassing details about ourselves to people whom we had met just a couple of days ago.
During our program we also had the opportunity of visiting the Hemlock Center for Outdoor Education. Through the activities at Hemlock we learned that to reach our goal we need to rely on others in our group and if everyone completes their assignment to the best of their ability and we trust each other then nothing is out of reach. We also learned the all-important 4P's: Practice, Persevere, Patience and Prevail. The adventure at Hemlock definitely allowed everyone to bond with the children from the other schools. Just to add a little humor, I must definitely say that patience is something we definitely learned in more ways than one as on our way to Hemlock, two of the groups got completely lost and arrived around an hour late after driving down many circuitous routes!
I feel that the Student Fellows Program allowed me to become a better leader. I thank the Ethics Resource Center for taking the initiative to institute such a program. I learned so many new and interesting things in one week, some of which convinced me to study these more carefully in college, such as business ethics and interpersonal communication. I hope to follow up this experience with an internship in the coming years, at the ERC.

My interaction with the U.S. Educational Foundation in India center at Bangalore was indispensable for applying to universities in the United States. They were always available for the smallest of queries that I had, and shared the most up-to-date and important information, whether it dealt with the admission process, the visa application, or related travel information. The feedback I received in preparing my personal statements was very valuable—not only in securing admissions, but also in building confidence to aim for the career goals I set for myself.
My program has given me fantastic hands-on exposure to the industry I want to get into. They had us attend conferences and panels, as well as tour development studios. The flexibility in the curriculum that allows me to choose specific courses in alignment with my interests has been very rewarding, too.
Intense and specific coursework helped me build on the foundations of my undergraduate study. My program has also opened a lot of doors in terms of setting up internships that are not only great learning opportunities, but also a foot in the door to organizations you might want to work for in the future.
To be put in an environment where a lot of my peers have already worked professionally before coming back to school has also helped me appreciate the value of having relevant work experience. Being in the middle of and working alongside so many talented individuals with varied backgrounds has given me significant exposure to new ideas and opportunities.
The work we do on live projects each semester has really equipped us with a level of confidence and preparedness to do professional quality work that demands substantial responsibility.
I’ve also been fortunate to have faculty that puts an enormous effort toward personally molding each student’s career based on his interest and skills.
The staff at Carnegie Mellon works really hard to take care of its international student community.
Every once in a while, the university holds international food festivals. Each time, its theme is tied to a different region of the world. It is a great venue for meeting people, as well as learning about the students from these different places.
It has been a wonderful experience interacting with people from the United States. In the academic environment, specifically, I’ve learnt to appreciate their focus and dedication towards their professional goals. To mingle with this most diverse set of people has also been a great learning experience.
Students coming in for the first time should have an open mind and be ready from Day One to soak in all that they can. There is tremendous opportunity here, and you should be prepared for a lot of hard work and hustle.
Also, learn how to cook! It will really take you a long way in making new friends.

Have you ever asked your self as to how a good coffee experience can be achieved? Well, most coffee drinkers do not consider this question, but continue to dose themselves with what they think is the best. Others may have encountered the same doubt, but neglected it since this is not really a big issue to focus. But fortunately for some, this question is as crucial as their choice of drink.
To achieve an ultimate coffee or tea experience, one must feel the sensation of his drink similar to a nirvana. By merely taking a few drinks or even a single sip, the coffee's flavor must be able to immediately convince the drinker. This does not mean that a coffee lover must solemnly taste a sip of his drink in order to grasp its real taste, but allow the coffee to persuade his taste.
True taste of coffee dictates the whole idea of a wonderful coffee experience. You may feel total satisfaction with the drink of your choice, but your officemates may not share similar delight with it.
Gevalia coffee products is no doubt one of the many coffees manufactured to give everyone the contentment with coffee that they deserve. By the aroma of its coffee alone, one can directly conclude that it will surely bring a totally unique taste that the tongue will register.
In order to have the best coffee experience always, make sure to only drink the best of its class. Do not settle for those that are unable to gratify your demand for a supreme coffee drinking experience. By choosing the finest product you can guarantee yourself of the fulfillment you seek.

On Friday, the M.D. Mr. Rahul Devan took the entire Srijan Team to a outing so that people may get to know each other and decide what the company’s strategies should be. Though I am an intern over here but I also asked to be a part of the trip, which initially I had thought that I would bunk, but later I decided to go ahead and see it.
Mr Vivek Puri, who had just left IBM and joined Srijan, picked me up from Khanpur bus stop in his car and drove us to ‘Teri Resort’ on Faridabad-Gurgaon Express way. On the way I saw Qutub Minar (which I had been planning to visit since I came here) and Chattarpur Temple (which has a statue of Hanuman which is over 40 feet tall). We reached there at 9:40 AM. As he parked his car, we were taken to the conference room in a battery-driven auto-ricksaw. There was greenery everywhere. I must say they had well maintained the resort.
Then the proceedings for the day began. It started with the introduction of the 22 members of Srijan team. Everyone had to speak about his past, his experience with Srijan and his ambitions for future. I was overwhelmed with thoughts when everybody spoke how they wanted to help society some by teaching kids, opening schools at their respective villages. I would like to mention here are Mr Hari from Andhra Pradesh who was deeply touched by farmers of his village and some other nearby villages who were moving out of villages to cities in search of job, where they had to live on footpaths. He said that at some point of his life he would return to his village and teach them how to use new technology to get better harvest and earn money.
Apart from that I saw some people here are not very well educated but with the help of others they are also progressing. It was also great to see even the peons sat with and told their story.
I must say that in the past month that I have stayed here, I never felt this place like an office, its always full of humour.
Then we had lunch after that we again sat down and decided bout the strategies and points of success and failures of the company. Here they were trying to decide the company’s policy. The M.D. has always tried to make it a democratic place to work and thus he was seeking everyone’s say in how the company should be run. Almost everything from administration to finance everything was discussed. Later in the evening we played Cricket and guess what I dropped two catches
It was really an experience to be remembered.
It was really interesting to see a company shape up.
