The Changes to My Hometown
Like many of you here ,I am a local people.I have lived in Nanjing for about 14 years.Nanjing is called ‘The ancient capital of the six dynasties’ by the ancients.Over the years,great changes have taken place in Nanjing.I think it is gradually becoming a modern city.
When I was three years old,I could remember clearly that my grandmother was a farmer.She had a lot of farmland,and she often has a bumper harvest .She was in a special organization called ‘Production Team’.When I became a primary school student,she was too old to work,but she still grew many plants (and zombies).Since then,people have turned more and more farmland into roads and buildings.Now farmers in the city quit the stage of history.
Another great change is the construction of the underground and the high-speed rail.A few years ago,when I passed ‘Zhong Hua Gate’,there were just some coaches there,but now ,we can take METRO LINE 1 and get to anywhere in urban areas quickly.
In the past,I moved three times.Each time I moved,I found many differences,such as some restaurants,shopping malls and supermarkets.And we also have our park and plaza.
Then,we need to pay attention to the environment.Recently,the pollution is terrible because of too much waste.I am looking forward to seeing a new and clean city.
This is my home town.I wish it better.
