Alan Greenspan was born in March 6,1926.To be Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve of the US,Greenspan made a great contribution to America.Shortly after he became chair man in 1987,the Black Monday stock market crash occurred.However,this expansion was solved in March 2000 followed by a recession in 2001-2002.After that,he putted some statements forward to criticize inappropriate policies,such as policies leading to a housing bubble.Nearly all people in America agree that Greenspan was the leading authority on US domestic economic and monetary policy,because he saved US economies from very dangerous situation many times.After his retirement,he accepted a position at HM Treasury in the UK.
