为什么选B,but之后不是用不定式吗?
2、______ I were to accept your terms.What do you think the other competitors would feel?
A.If B.Assuming
C.Supposing D.Given
这四个选项都可以表条件,有什么区别?
3、Warning about the dangers of indulging oneself in computer games seem to produce ______ on some young people.
A.impact B.impression
C.improvement D.immune
为什么选A不选B呢?

1题,2楼的解释挺详细的,我就不多说了.
3题,2楼的解释也没有问题,说到"影响"只能用impact or influence.impression没有这个意思.
但是第2题他说错了.答案应该是A
你的怀疑一点没错,四个都有如果的意思,但是别忘了这还是带虚拟语气.用虚拟语气的时候就只能用if.
如果不是虚拟的话确实前三者都可以互换.比如:If/Assuming/Supposing the weather is fine tomorrow,we will go hiking.如果明天天气好的话我们就去远足.
given也不是不可以用,但它的用法相对特殊些.它后面接从句时更多表原因而不是条件:
2.后接that从句,that可省略,表示原因,有"由于,考虑到.."的意思
如:If you say given that something is the case,you mean taking that fact into account.
Given that I don't earn that much money,I have to be careful with my spending.
而如果它接名词词组时,一般才是如果的意思
如:Given patience,successful breeding of this species can be achieved.
综上,given的使用要小心,一般而言,四者确实有表条件的作用,但是在有虚拟语气时,只能用if.
