答案是No,he doesn't
为什么不是Yes?

为什么不是Yes?
seldom是含有否定意义的副词,很少几乎不所以第一句前半句可认为是一个否定句,英语里答no 后面加否定句hedoesn't == He doesn't smoke , 如果答yes 后面就得加肯定句,he does == he smokes
再问： 但是如果问的是—Your uncle smokes, does he?
那是不是也应该是No 这样的话seldom还有用吗？
再答： —Your uncle smokes, does he? 这样提问不成立因为只有当原句为否定句, 后面的反意义疑问句才是肯定句
比如你也可以说—Your uncle doesn't smoke, does he?
答案是一样的 ---Yes, he does. / No he doesn't.
