Nobody can work alone. It is human nature that we seek help in things that we do because we do not have the knowledge about everything and not everything can be under our control. And this group of people working together, we call them, a team.
A team is successful only when one understands the importance and the intricate workings of a team. One of such is having a team leader. A leader is there to arrange for a meeting, to organize his team's activities and to guide his members when they are confused. He should be someone the team is able to trust and respect. A team leader must be decisive and willing to speak out because he will be the representative or the medium between his team and all others.
It is also important for a team to be able to share their information efficiently. It is a part of working together and a good test on communication skills. No members should be selfish and keep to themselves because a missing information from an individual might just cause the fall of a team. This is why it is important to have meetings and contact numbers from all members so messages shared efficiently.
Another important element in a team is responsibility. It is crucial to know one's responsibility in a team. Usually, the decision on the responsibilities would fall on the leader based on the members' abilities and interest. Otherwise, sometimes, voting is a good option for decision making if there is too many people opting for a single job. Only when the responsibilities are well distributed, can a team work together and complete their task.
In a nutshell, we should never take our team for granted. We should always fulfil our roles to the best that we can, accept all our differences and tolerate each other's habits. Only when we have managed to do these, we can call ourselves, a team.
