Olympic game
Hello everyone;
The 29th Olympic game has been hold successively in Beijing this summer.And the China team gets 51 golden medals in the game,this number is a record high,so people are so proud about this.When people are enjoying this historical success,is it necessary for us to take some consideration to the negative impact to our society of this game.Now I want to express my view to the Olympic game here.
First,as I know we spent at least 300 billion RMB in the game include construction cost,player’s training cost.May be some students here have no idea about how much is 300 billion RMB.So I tell you it is as much as the whole cost of the Three Gorges Project.So I think it is all consuming (money and time) for our country to hold the Olympic game.We can not deny the truth that the government of a developing country spent so much money to hold a sport game for politic purpose or leader’s preference is unforgivable.
Second,holding the Olympic game brings a lot of inconvenience to our people.For instance,people want to have a travel or have some business in Beijing will be rigorous rummaged in every station they passed by.If there is wine as explosive material or tinder in your baggage,ok,enjoy your custody time for several days.Cops in the street will ask you to show the ID card to them at anytime in Beijing,if you can’t,you will also in big trouble.Although many people are very angry about such kind of policies,but the only way they can do is trying to accept those policies and pretend to be happy about all of this.
I think even if we strongly need a security and harmonious society to hold this game; we still need pay more attention to people’s rights and daylilies.Benjamin Franklin once said:“Any society which gives up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.” Our government should also take this as its principle when manage the public affairs.But during the 2008 we clear know that the activity of the management of our government goes far away to this principle.The harmonious of our society is not the absence of the conflicts but the presence of the justice.
Ok that is my opinion to the Olympic 2008.Maybe there is a little radical,but the democracy of a society means different ideas can be expressed even though it’s wrong.
