In the past I was a shy girl until last year I took part in this competition .I know that confidence is a form of courage.
Last year our whole class took part in this competition .That was my first time to take part in this competition.To my surprise I entered in the preliminary contest.However,starting from the semi-final is an oral examination.I was very afraid .My mother saw me and kindly said to me:"Never mind,this is just a try.Do not be afraid,and be confident " So I have confidence,and we practised and practised.Ten days ago I took part in the competition.Before the conpetition start my mum said to me :`Don’t be afraid.You are the best!I know you are a brave girl.And you know confidence is a form of courage.’Then I smiled to my mother.I Walked into the competition field with a smile too.I must be Confident.Keep smile.’I said to myself.It was my turn to give a speech.I was still a bit afraid and worried.I started my speech with a trembling voice.Suddenly I forgot some words.That was unlucky!What should I do now?I remembered what my mother said .confidence is a form of courage.So I must be Confident.I smiled again.And I found all audience looked at me friendlily.I kept on wy speech without reciting the original speech.In the end all audience gave me big hands.I also entered in the final.
After last year’s talent copetition I found I can speak English like some contestants on TV.Therefore I became confident girl.So today I stand here again and talk about it.

Last year our whole class took part in this competition .That was my first time TAKING part in this competition.To my surprise,I ENTERED THE preliminary contest.However,starting from the semi-final is an oral examination.I was very afraid.My mother saw me and kindly said to me:"Never mind,this is just a try.Do not be afraid,and be confident " HEARING THAT,I GAINED confidence,and we practised and practised.Ten days ago I took part in the competition.Before the conpetition startED,my mum said to me ,`Don’t be afraid.You are the best!I know you are a brave girl.And you know,confidence is a form of courage.’ Then I smiled AT my mother.I Walked (ONTO THE STAGE)[competition field有点奇怪] with a smile too.I must be Confident.Keep smilING.’I said to myself.It was my turn to give a speech.I was still a bit afraid and worried.I started my speech with a trembling voice.Suddenly I forgot some words.HOW unlucky!What should I do now?I remembered what my mother said .confidence is a form of courage.So I must be Confident.I smiled again.And I found THE audience lookING at me friendlily.I CONTINUED MY speech without reciting the original speech.In the end THE audience gave me big hands.I also entered INTO the final.
