为探讨车前草多糖能否作为候选佐剂,用蛋公鸡作为试验动物,从车前草多糖对鸡血液生理、生化、免疫器官组织、鸡新城疫(ND)疫苗免疫效果的影响等几方面进行试验.其中血液生理生化和免疫器官组织学影响所用鸡为同一批次,采用饲喂车前草多糖溶液的方式分别测定其各时间段红白细胞数变化、血清谷丙转氨酶（GOT）、谷草转氨酶（GPT）、碱性磷酸酶（AKP）、白蛋白和血清钙水平；鸡新城疫（ND）疫苗免疫效果影响试验用另一批鸡,疫苗皮下注射接种,在免疫后各时段分别测定各组鸡ND抗体水平和T淋巴转化率.结果显示：饲喂车前草多糖的鸡的各免疫器官脏器指数明显高于空白组,血液红白细胞数均高于空白组.提示车前草多糖能促进鸡免疫器官的发育和红白细胞生成.车前草多糖与ND疫苗混合可以提高血清ND抗体水平和T淋巴转化率.提示车前草多糖有曾强ND疫苗免疫保护的作用.
