一道高中英语语法题

为什么填when?不可以是that吗,同位语从句,和time同位?
可以填when我知道原因，可是这不可以是同位语吗,对time进一步解释说明，说明名称的具体内容，就像这句话：Word came that he passed the entranace examination.（这句话是同位语）

你的看法有道理我认为填that 也是对的
就算是定语从句也是对的 that有时可以代替when引导限制性定从
有的出题人只知其一不知其二
再如 it is time that you went to school.
字典上的例句 i will never forget the day (that) i went to college.
