There is a story ,a group of reporters,carrying various cameras devices,are
chasing madly after a stylish girl star,shouting,“if you don’t have scandalous
affairs,we’ll be out of our jobs.” They are striving to be the first to grab the
headlines about her private life.Terrified by the scene,the girl star is running
desperately to get away from the mad pack of the pursuers.
It presents a vivid depiction of the common phenomenon that
journalists take advantage of stars overwhelmingly magical effects on people’s
minds to serve their own purposes.In order to raise their circulations,some local
newspapers and magazines ask their reporters to seek scandalous affairs of
celebrities.Admittedly,some celebrities may do something immoral,but reporters
should conform to their professional ethics.They should not mislead people’s
tastes in media and attract great publicity to celebrities’ private lives.
The invasion of privacy of celebrities is one of social issues which deserve our
concern.There is no denying that the problem does harm not only to celebrities but
also to the society.Therefore,some measures should be taken to ensure fair and
objective coverage in media and act against untrue or distorted news reports on
celebrities’ personal lives.Journalists must be fully aware of their ethical
responsibilities and show respect for the celebrity’s privacy.On the other hand,
we common people should not be too curious about scandalous stories from
celebrities’ private lives.
