Wisdom is more important than knowledge
If you ask Jew,what’s the most important?The answer must be intellectuality.Intellectuality does not mean knowledge.
Jew Mother usually asks her children a riddle:
What do you want to take with you when running away if the house was burned & belongings was robbed totally some day?
For this question,it contains a blood & tears history of Jew.Generally,most of children’s reply is “Money” or “Diamond”.
And then Mother would give a further ask:
There is a kind of something without any forms,colors & odors,and then do you know what it is?
The children will present no answer with the lost mind,Mother says:
Son,what you should bring away with you is not money nor diamond,but intellectuality.Because no one could take away the intellectuality from you if only you keep surviving,and then it will be with you and do work for you forever anytime & anywhere.
We come to the below sayings and for all of us share now & then:
--- On the way of one’s journey,he should buy and bring the book back to share with his townies,at which his townies have not looked ever.
--- In addition,if it’s necessary to sell your goods to maintain the living during the hard time,and then the gold,gem,house & ground should be for sale firstly,even till the last minute you still couldn’t sell any of your books.
--- We should loan our books to anyone at any time,even they are our enemy,or we would betray the intellectuality.
--- Always take the book as your friend,and look the bookstand as your courtyard!And we should be pleased for the beauty of books,and then pack the bloom & the fruit of books.
Let’s get a mind of Jew,and you will find they pay their attention to the knowledge.However,they would like to focus on the wisdom much more.So,they laugh at those who only own the knowledge but without any wisdom,and give them a good metaphor – it’s a donkey that only has a lot of books on the shoulder,but no use at anywhere.
As well known,we should apply the knowledge to the good way,or it will certainly do harm to the people.
In a sense,the knowledge is surviving for hammering out the wisdom in fact.It’s in vain if we read the book with no thinking – just like laying out the book on the bookshelf & have no see.
There are many wise persons,although they don’t have enough reading & knowledge,we also look up to them sincerely.
When a student get a start to accumulate the knowledge,exert the intellectuality,build insight power,and begin to know the humility as a human,he may be named an able person.
Both wisdom and humility are the equivalent importance,it’s sure who must be blest if supposed that he was blest; and then who must be stupid if supposed that he was wise.Because the grape knows to turn down its head while plentiful and substantial.In the same way the more sapience who has,the more humility who is.
And then,who is greater between rich person & able person?Of course,it’s the able person,as he knows the value of money,but rich person don’t know the treasure of able person.
To end up with the following saying:Wisdom is far beyond Money.
