In Gothenburg,Sweden,there is a statue.It is the statue of the first person to eat potatoes.His name was Jonas.He was as calm and quiet as a potato.
In the year of 1723,when he was abroad,Jonas found some potato seeds.After he came back his country,he planted some of the seeds.Then the potatoes grew.Jonas ate the potatoes and found them very delicious.He also found that there are many nutrients in potatoes.So he asked other people to plant potatoes.Then,people learnt that potatoes were very good for them.People made a statue of Jonas to rememder him and called him the first potato eater.
