我们现在在做关于诗的assignment.
里面涉及到几个词,找了半天还是不太理解什么意思,

the discourses the poet privileged
我要的是critical literacy方面的解释,不要去给我随便找些英译中词典查查就算了.
大家给的答案都差不多,意思我懂了,但是我还是不太会用,比如说这首诗,里面的dominant discourse是什么,它的representation of the theme 是什么,还有它的main subject matter是什么
Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely,dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
