A number of college students are going (A.camping B.to camp) this weekend.
我选了B.可是他说我错,我知道A.是可以,但是“are/is going to + V'不是代表将来式的肯定语气吗?

必须选A.
需要区分go doing 和go to do.
go doing 强调的是一段时间内的连续活跃动作,
而go to do强调目的,或完结性不活跃的动作,进入了某种状态.
另外表示去做某事,固定用法为go shopping, go swimming,go travelling
而go to 后都加地点 go to school,go to the church 等.

go to sleep,go to work,go to die均是进入了某种状态,当然go to die老外不这么讲,是go to hell
go to swim就不对了,因为swim不能表示状态,而是go swimming.
同理 go to camp是错误的.而是go camping

此外 are going doing也是将来时表示方式.
are going doing=are going to go doing=will go doing
are going camping=are going to go camping(后面的语法没错,就是啰嗦）
