这个倒装句 正常描述是the doctor did realize that his patient needed surgery only then 吗? 句中的 did 有何作用 realize不已经是动词了吗?
2. This report is about air pollution.和 This is a report about pollution of the air.两种表达方式都正确吗?第二种是不是很中式英语呢?
3.I could not find the key to my house. 为什么用to 而不用of 呢?还是两者都行?

1 也就是说 did 没有具体含义只是 替代realized的吧？
1.正常的语序是The doctor realized that his patient needed surgery only then.像这种时间状语提前,主句要用倒装（即助动词提前）,这就是为什么有did
2.一般空气污染用air pollution或者pollution to the air
表达上没问题,句式不一样
3.这是固定搭配,只能用to
