Studying aboard could be a rewarding and life-changing experience, but it is also rife with challenges. There is the cultural difference, for example. Human beings are social animals, and not being able to cmmunicate fluently with others could cause stress and loneliness (at least at the start). Being away from family and loved ones will also be difficult, regardless of help from the modern technologies such as Skype and email. Adding to all these discomfort could be the cost involved with studying aboard. Many foreign institutions charge non-resident students more to study. Living costs in many developed countries can be much higher than in China.
