2009年9月20日，在纽约20国峰会上，美国总统奥巴马发言说，人民币必须升值，中国的出口必须减少。同年10月4日国际货币基金组织再度施压要求人民币升值。2011年2月10日人民币对美元汇率中间价为6.5849，较前一交易日微涨1个基点，再次创下了2005年汇率改革以来的新高。面对世界各国对人民币高涨的“讨伐”声，人民币不再是升还是不升，升多少的问题，而是升值后对我国经济会产生哪些影响，如何减少不利影响。同时，为什么人民币对外升值了而国内的物价却居高不下出现通货膨胀。本文通过查阅书籍，市场调查的方法，对人民币对外升值，对内贬值这一奇怪现象，从人民币升值的背景、由此产生的对我国经济的影响等方面进行了研究。并针对政府、出口企业、居民个人提出了建议。认为人民币升值不仅仅是一个货币问题，更涉及到我国的政治局面、金融市场、百姓生活等诸方面问题。人民币也不再是局限于一国的支付手段和价值尺度，而是逐步走出国门的国际化货币。
