3. Tom lost his wallet in the supermarket. 汤姆在超市里丢了钱包.
It was in the supermarket that Tom lost his wallet. 汤姆是在超市里丢的钱包.
4. She didn’t go to work because her mother was ill. 因为妈妈病了,她没去上班.
It was because her mother was ill that she didn’t go to work.

5. The Second World War broke out in 1939. 二战爆发于1939年.
It was in 1939 that the Second World War broke out. 二战是在1939年爆发的.
6. He didn’t go to bed until ten o’clock.他
It was not until ten o’clock that he went to bed.
归纳 强调句型由“It is/was +被强调部分+that+其他成分”构成.用来强调话语中的某个成分,被强调的成分可以是主语,宾语,状语,但不可以是谓语或定语.去掉It is/was…that…之后,剩余的部分必须是一个完整的句子结构.强调人时可用who/whom,强调其他任何部分用that.

提示 一些情态动词常出现在强调句式中, 从而构成一些变式结构:
变式a: It must /may/might be…that…
It may be my brother that you are thinking of.
It must be a novel that you are reading.
变式b: It must /may/might have been…that…

It might have been a knock on the door that I heard. then.
变式c: It can’t/couldn’t be…that…
