My experience as a volunteer
During the past winter vacation, I think the most meaningful event I joined must be the volunteer experience. Every weekend I go to the homes for the elderly. I helped them with a lot of things. I helped them tidy their rooms, since they are too weak to make their own rooms clean. A lot of old people almost lost thier eye sight, so I also read articles for them, especially those on the newspaper, which are the most interesting ones for most old people. Besides, I led them to do exercises as well. Because of their weak bodies, it's not safe for them to do exercise without someone else's help. I felt joyful in doing these volunteer work. When I saw those old people smile, I knew that I had brought them happiness. I think these work help me become a more warm-hearted and responsible person.
