为什么是Whom was the sweater bought by?而不是who was the sweater bought by?呢

楼主的变化其实也是可以的,只是用whom更好点.
who为主格,在句中一般做主语,而whom为宾格,在句中一般做宾语.
但是who也可以当做宾格使用,尤其是在口语中.
该变化中,whom做介词by的宾语,所以用whom更佳.
不顾如果该句把介词by提前至句首时,则只能使用whom,而不能使用who了.
即还可以变成：By whom was the sweater bought?
