先回答为什么前面有on,还不用which：这是因为前面有个where 开头的特殊疑问句：--在哪里……? ---在农场.【在哪个农场?在我们曾经工作过的农场.】后面之所以用 where,是因为where 所引导的从句,只修饰刚才回答句中的on 后的名词farm：即“在那个我们曾经工作过的农场”.你说的on which= where的情况,on 和which 要在一起,且是on which 在定语从句作地点状语的.而本句中的on显然不是属于从句中的,而是主句中的,先行词前的,和从句没关系.若不考虑拗口的话,可以这么说：It was on the farm on which we worked. 后面的on which 才是你说的那个.第一个on 和从句无关.
