Rotenone,pest resistant and moreefficient,is a broad spectrum insecticide.As the drawbacks of usingtraditional chemical drugs has become increasingly prominent,seekingrelatively safe,efficient and low toxic alternatives become an inevitabletrend in agricultural production.In this paper,the biological activity,mechanism and application of rotenone were discussed in detail,and the studyof Derris grass roots extraction experiments ,which carried out by the methodof cold soak and four four different solvents and the mixed solution,wereintroduced,and the extract rotenone.content was measured by infraredspectroscopy and HPLC.The results showed that:in the case of the method ofcold soak,mixed solvent extraction rate greater than the pure solvent,while the resulting conclusion that the mixed solution of methanol and acetoneextraction rate is the highest.
