In today's China, the Economy develops by leaps and bounds, while the environmental problems have gradually attached people's attention. In order to realize the sustainable development of our economy, the green accountant as a new branch of the traditional accountant is quietly emerging. This paper states the meaning, the background, the characteristics, the principles and some other aspects of the green accountant in detail, analyses the development status of green accountant in China, explains the necessity to develop the green accountant in our country, introduces the problems to develop green accountant problems, and put forward some corresponding suggestions.
