①做动词,进行时：

②做分词,那就多了去了：
比如,表状态：James is the man translating the book.(詹姆斯就是那个在翻译这本书的人)
③作名词：
Translating is one of the most important abilities to English major.(翻译是英语专业学生最重要的能力之一)
