allow to do 和allow doing 的最大区别在于allow to do 可以换成allow sb to do 所以在句子中前一个是doing 的形式而后一个sb.被动必须是to do
2 in front of通常相对于某物体的外部来说,指另外的物体或人位于该物前面,意为“在……前面”.如：
There are some trees in front of the house．房子的前面有一些树.（树在房子之外的前面）
in the front of通常相对于空间而言,指某人或物位于某个空间的内部,但它指的是物体的前部,意为“在……的前部”.如：
The teacher is standing in the front of the classroom．老师站在教室的前面.（指教室里的前面）
所以这个题是in the front of
3 what if 后面加完全的陈述句
4 个人以为working 从语法上也可以,但是在你语感达到一定程度你也会不由自主的写成to do 的形式,貌似我当年也纠结过这个问题
5 不知道你们学没学过“过去的过去”,我们当年老师说的是“过去的过去”用过去完成时,在这句话中 the firefighters arrived发生在写这句话之前,而flee 又是发生在arrived 之前,这就叫过去的过去,之前的之前……不知道我这么说你理解没……
