一:去年暑假张明参加了吃苦夏令营(Harding Summer Camp),经历了与城市完全不同的生活,回来时人瘦了,皮肤也晒得黝黑,但他学会了自己动手,学会了照顾别人,夏令营使他发生很大变化.(prepare breakfast ,walk a long distance and climb the mountain ,do the washing ,thin and tan)

1.I went on a harding summer camp during my last summer vacation,and,let me tell you,it sucks.I had to get up at four in the morning and prepare breakfast for a group of seventy fat freaks.After that I had to carry my instructor's rucksack and mine and walked for a long distance and climbed the mountain.One day,I fell off the cliff,but fortunately,I got stuck between the trees so I didn't hit my head on the rocks.After coming back to the camp,I had to do the washing after all the other guys drunken mess.Some of the girls were getting thin and tan,but not me because they kept me in the dark dungun most of the time.

Today was May Day,a national holiday celebrating those commie events who knows when.My buddy and I took a tour around Shanghai.First we went to the Bund,where my buddy's grandfather used to own a large bank in the good old days before he lost his fortune when Shanghai fell 60 years ago.The Yu Garden was a good place and we enjoyed some bear over a handful of chicken thighs.After that we went up the Oriental Pearl Tower,and man,you got to be amazed at the funky design it has.There I bought some silver dollars as gifts to my son in Singapore.There have been some great changes over the past few years in Shanghai,but I'm not so proud of these stupid things.
