We are looking for an exceptional JAVA technologist to join our team working for an electronic trading firm to help enhance our high-performance real-time trade execution platform for corporate bonds.
Roles and Responsibilities
You will work on enhancing current trading technology,help support our live production environment,and build additional functionality to support firm's business needs.The ideal candidate is a habitual problem-solver and optimizer,picks up libraries and ideas on the fly,and has a track record of shipping great code.Fixed income knowledge or experience is helpful but not required.The candidate will also learn to trade over time,though this is of secondary importance and value to the company.
Skills / Experience Required
- 2+ years of hands-on development experience with an Object-oriented java-like language (JAVA / C# / etc.)
- Experience developing for large scale,high performance,message-driven real-time distributed systems a distinguishing feature
- Excellent OO design and implementation skills
- Working knowledge of SQL required,MySQL / JDBC a plus
- Ability to cope with changing priorities and multi-task in a fast paced environment required
- Strong team work and high ethical standards
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Desire and passion to work in fixed income capital markets environment
