1913年,安徒生的童话来到了中国.最早介绍和研究安徒生的是周作人.在中国还有安徒生童话三大翻译家：叶君健、林桦和任溶溶,
叶君健去英国巡回演讲的时候,工作之余从丹麦朋友那里读到丹麦文的安徒生童话,这些文字给他心灵带来极大的快感与启示,他便萌生了翻译安徒生童话的念头.于是,在剑桥居住的5年,叶君健利用业余时间直译了安徒生的全部童话.回国后出版了,这样也就有了中国第一部安徒生童话全集.

Anderson Fairy Tales accessed in China
In 1993, Anderson fairy tales were spread in China, firstly introduced and researched by Zhou Zuoren. There were three famous translators on this field in China: Ye Junjiang, Lin Hua and Ren Rongrong.
It had brought him about an extremly large amount of inspriration and pleasure when Ye Junjian firstly read Anderson fairy tales of Danish version during his lecture circuit in England. Since then he had been haunted by the sense of translating it into Chinese. Therefore, in the five years he had lived in Cambridge, Ye Junjian had directly translated all the Anderson fairy tales in spare time and made it published when he returned to China. It is the first Anderson Fairy Tales in Chinese version.
