The city of Kouvola owns five student halls of residence through the company Kiinteistö Oy Kouvolan vuokratalot. They are located at:
· Jukolantie 17 (Toukola)
· Kuusihaankatu 6 (Penttilä)
· Utinkatu 39 (Utinkoto)
· Sippolankatu 3
· Prikaatintie 4 (Viertola)

All students enrolled for post-comprehensive school studies (i.e. upper secondary school, folk high school, vocational school, polytechnic, college or university) in Kouvola are eligible to apply for housing at the student halls.

APPLICATIONS
– cover all student halls of residence unless otherwise specified
– are valid until the end of the current calendar year, after which they have to be renewed
– should be submitted to the following address immediately after receiving notification of admission as a student:

– Certificate of attendance or notification of admission from the educational institution in question must be attached to the application.

Before the beginning of the autumn term, a written notice will be sent to those assigned housing at the student halls.

A DEPOSIT of 150 € is collected from the tenants (except at Prikaatintie 4, where the deposit is 170 €). The payment of the deposit should be made by a bank transfer form obtained from the housing office. Receipt of paid deposit must be presented before the lease is signed.

The apartments at Prikaatintie 4 are regular unfurnished flats with 2 or 3 rooms and a kitchenette. The apartments at the other student residence halls consist of 2 or 3 furnished single person rooms and a shared kitchen or kitchenette. The 2 rooms + kitchen flats are also rented out as family apartments, provided that at least one of the residents is a student
