中文：我觉得政府微博的出现是顺应时代发展潮流的创举，是政府推动民意畅通、民主执政的又一进步，这主要有三个原因：
第一，随着我国互联网的发展和普及，越来越多的人开始使用互联网。据统计，中国网民数量已超过4亿人，网络舆论已经成为不可忽视的一股社会舆论力量，通过开通政府微博，利用互联网来及时进行政府信息公开，能够有效地对网络舆论进行引导。
第二，微博相对于博客等方式来说，具有方式更灵活、更便捷、受众面更广、互动性更强的特点，往往能够在第一时间发布消息，所以现在政府部门利用微博来发布突发公共事件的动态进展，能够避免公众因不知情而造成恐慌。
第三，微博是时尚和潮流的一种代表。政府开通微博，实际也是表明了一种开明、积极的执政理念，更加有利于畅通网络民意沟通的渠道，对于网络问政也有着很好的推动作用。
不过，政府微博要发挥出以上的作用，根本上还是要把服务型政府的理念树立起来，把重视民意、听取民意作为完善执政方式的重要途径，不能仅仅把微博当成一种形式，抑或是停留在发布消息的阶段，而要将其作为与网民互动沟通的重要渠道；此外，还应提高政府运用微博的能力，建立健全相关管理制度。这样，政府微博才会发挥出其应有的作用。
