The Shanghai World Expo is built on a large-scale basis.Globally,it aims to promote the exchange of ideas and development of the world's economy,culture,science and technology.This is to allow exhibitors to publicize the latest science & technology developments,display their achievements and improve international trade relationships.Shanghai is a dynamic city with a strong historic background of 150 years,has been given world recognition towards the project of Shanghai Expo which is equivalent to the Olympic Games of 2008.
In the years of 2008 and 2009,the world has been focusing on China in various news-breaking events such as the earthquake,the Olympics Games of 2008,and ultimately the financial crisis.Despite these heavy and stressful events,China has emerged even stronger than ever,and impressed by the world by organizing the highly anticipated event named,the Shanghai Expo.With the rapid development of science and technology,the pollution of environment is getting more and more serious.As a result,the theme of Shanghai Expo 2010 is now promoting "Better City,Better Life".The common wish of the whole mankind is to establish better living in future urban environment and to build a harmonious society.
Better city,better life.
City life has taken over the natural beauty of the environment.For instance,do you still remember the limpid in Suzhou Creek?Are you still able to picture the beautiful fireflies being able to sparkle under the dark starry night?Do you ever miss the natural environment that brings us endless & comfortable harmonious feeling,such as the fresh air and special aroma which is almost impossible to experience in the busy city life?
If possible,we hope that this highly developed economy,science and technology,will not trade off the existence of natural beauty and this harmonious society.Let us make this city a better place for our future generation,in the hope that they will appreciate this better world and make it a much better living place.
