关于英语的【省略】这一块语法项目的问题
I wonder why you won't do it as______.It's the third time you have done so.
这句话中间填的是 told to .
我想问的问题是 他省略的成分是什么?我觉得完整是"you are told to do it.”
还是说没有do it?为什么
----You should have thanked her before you left.
----I meant_____,but when I was leaving I couldn't find her anywhere.
空格填的是to
还原完整的那么就是I meant to thank.
为什么省略掉thank(既是示意动词do)?
相同类型的问题还有I‘ve warned them______ 填not to 而不是not to do (省略了语境了)
