做这样的题目要学会分析从句.第一句的从句you saw the other day中,you是主语,saw是谓语,是个及物动词,后面却没有宾语,所以缺宾语,必须用关系代词that / which,或者也可以省略.
第二句的从句we saw an exhibition the other day中,we是主语,saw是谓语,是个及物动词,后面的exhibition 是宾语,因此主谓宾都齐全了,只能缺少修饰成分.再看前面,必然少了地点状语,所以用关系副词where.
the other day是指过去的某一天.是名词性短语,但可以直接作时间状语.
非限定性定语从句中,关系词一定不能用that——正确.
where和in which（介词+which)常常等同.
如This is the museum where we saw an exhibition the other day.
= This is the museum at which we saw an exhibition the other day.
