Zhang Heng lived from AD78 to 139. When young , he was interested in stars and often asked curious of his grand-parents , who lived with him . Zhang Heng built a model , which could show how stars move during the seasons and drew pictured of what he saw , including the heavens . At that time, it was difficult to make people believe new theories, but Zhang Heng didn′t give up even when people laughed at him. In 117A.D., Zhang built a spherical(球形的) object on an axis（轴） that turned just like the earth. It was called Hun Tian Yi and was driven by water.
