大英U5 I‘d always be haunted by the feeling that you had been taking a chance on just supposing I'm beautiful.“that” 是什么用法,引导什么从句?
那么它在定从中怎么看不出做成分啊？

额,刚才没看清楚,这句话是同位语从句.that在这里只起连接作用,在从句中不充当任何成分.而that若引导定语从句的话在从句中是充当成分的.这个是区分同位语从句和定语从句的关键.
同位语和定语从句的区别：
一、定语从句是形容词从句,作用相当于一个形容词,是用来修饰前面的名词或代词的；同位语从句是名词从句,作用相当于一个名词,是对前面的名词作进一步解释的.
1． We heard the news that he had told her. 定从
2． We heard the news that he had won the game. 同从.
二、定语从句的引导词在从句中充当一定的成分,可作主语或宾语,若在从句中式宾语,that可省略；而同位语从句中的引导词在从句只起连接作用,不作任何句子成分,并且一般不能省略.
我以前读中学时老师教我们区分同位语从句和定从时说的是：同位语从句可用“主+系+表”结构来表示但定从不能.
比如你这句话：I‘d always be haunted by the feeling that you had been taking a chance on just supposing I'm beautiful.可变为the feeling is that you had.但如果是定从就不能变成这种形式.e.g.: i told her the new that you told me. 这句就不能变成那种形式.
