帮咱改改吧 谢谢大哥大姐
这个是莎士比亚的《尤利乌斯·凯撒》 (Julius Caesar) 的英语分析作文的前两段...作文太长了...PO不上来...TOT
Intro and first body paragraph...
Shakespeare dramatizes the assassination of Julius Caesar through his powerful monologues and soliloquies in his play,Julius Caesar. One of his crucial monologues, which is delivered by Mark Antony, shifts the tragic hero from Julius Caesar to Brutus.Through the use of irony, repetition and pathos in his eulogy,Mark Antony methodically invokes Romans infuriation toward Caesar’s assassination and turns Romans against Brutus.
After the Romans were persuaded by Brutus,Mark Antony coaxes them into listening to him with the use of irony.Mark Antony sweetly starts off his speech after Brutus left:
Friends,Romans,countrymen,lend me your ears.
I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him
The evil that men lives after them,
The good is oft interred with their bones
So let it be with Caesar. The noble Brutus
Hath told you Caesar was ambitious.
If it were so,it was a grievous fault,
And grievously hath Caesar answered it.
(3.2.82-89)
Mark Antony utilizes similar opening lines that Brutus uses in his last speech to command attentions from the Romans. He then declares his “purpose” of his presence in Caesar’s funeral:burying Caesar, not praising him.Later,he pretends to agree with Brutus’ argument for assassinating Caesar due to his ambition to become a tyrant.Later it would be revealed that Mark Antony is,in fact, lying in these lines as his real goal is to turn the Romans against Brutus. The irony in these lines helps Antony to gain Romans trusts and coax them to continue listening to his eulogy.
