There are plenty of times when I'm asked to do something I don't want to do,but the one that springs to mind first would be the time I was asked to walk the dog.I hated the mutt,and being awoken at six in the morning just because the dog refused to be quiet was not particularly enjoyable on a Saturday morning.In a very bad mood and being a person who hates to be told what to do,I formed an idea to teach my family a lesson for ruining my Saturday.I carelessly buckled the leash onto the dog's collar and dragged it out of the door.As usual,it was fascinated with everything and anything along the way--the flowerbeds belonging to the nice old lady next door,and the rather questionable pieces of trash left on the ground.All along,the dog kept on trying to pull away from me,and soon the leash popped off the collar,just like I had planned,and the dog ran away.
We never found it again,and I'm personally very glad for that.

The future is unpredictable.That is why I like to focus on the present and not the future.Who knows; tomorrow,I could walk out on the street and get hit by a bus,and never open my eyes again.It is because of this that my philosophy of life is 'live like you have no tomorrow'.I never make plans for the future,because I simply cannot predict what tomorrow will bring for me.Making overly detailed plans for the future will just cause a person unnecessary worry,as life never turns out the way you want it to.Instead,it's better for me just to welcome the challenges as they come,rather than anticipate every curveball life throws at me in hopes of catching it in time.Life is just far too short for me to waste today thinking about tomorrow,when tomorrow might never come.

Everyone has a different method for learning.For me,I prefer to take notes in class,rather than simply listening.It is true that for some people,listening will enable them to absorb and understand what is being said.However,taking notes not only helps me in my revision later,but also helps me clarify in my own mind what is being taught.It's particularly useful when the teacher himself is not a particularly structured person--when taking down notes,I am able to put down his thoughts in a way that make sense to me.Of course,taking down notes in class is not just a complete transcription of everything a teacher says,but involves a filtering process to write down only what is relevant and ignoring everything else to produce a set of comprehensive notes.I also find the process of learning to be more engaging if I'm actually writing down what is said,because if I choose only to listen,I tend to get distracted easily.And,of course,the added benefit of having these notes to look at right before an exam is a huge plus.
