I found out one time that doing a favor for someone could get you into a lot of trouble.I was in the eight grade at the time,and we were having a final test.During the test,the girl sitting next to me whispered something,but I didn’t understand.So I leaned over her way and found out that she was trying to ask me if I had an extra pen.She showed me that hers was out of ink and would not write.I happened to have an extra one,so I took it out of my pocket and put it on her desk.
Later,after the test papers had been turned in,the teacher asked me to stay in the room when all the other students were dismissed.As soon as we were alone she began to talk to me about what it meant to grow up; she mentioned how important it was to stand on your own two feet and be responsible for your own acts.For a long time,she talked about honesty and emphasized the fact that when people do something dishonest,they are really cheating themselves.She made me promise that I would think seriously about all the things she had said,and then she told me I could leave.I walked out of the room wondering why she had chosen to talk to me about all those things.
Later on,I found out that she thought I had cheated on the test.When she saw me lean over to talk to the girl next to me,it looked as though I was copying answers from the girl’s test paper.I tried to explain about the pen,but all she could say was it seemed strange to her that I hadn’t mentioned anything about the pen the day she talked to me right after the test.Even though I tried to explain that I was just doing the girl a favor by letting her use my pen,I am sure she continued to believe that I had cheated on the test.

后来,在试卷上交后,其他人走了,老师让我留在班上,当教室里只剩下我和老师的时候,老师就开始教育我关于成长的意义,她提到脚踏实地,并对你自己的行为负责是多么重要的一件事,更多的时间她讲的是有关于诚实,并强调事实上有人做了不诚实的事情,那就是欺骗他自己,这让我不得不承诺我会很严肃的面对她所讲的这个事,然后她告诉我说,我可以走了,当我走出教室门的时候我真的很想知道为什么她要选择这些话题来教育我.
最后我才慢慢的意识到,可能她是当她看到我重复着后面那个女孩对我讲的话的时候,认为我在考试中作弊,那样看起来就像是我在抄袭着那个女孩的考试答案,我想试着解释,可是我发现如果我解释了,她会更奇怪于说“那天考试后我没有和你提到有关笔的事情啊”,虽然我只是想告诉她,我仅仅是给了笔,帮了女孩一个忙,我确定她还是仍然觉得我在考试中作弊.
