but 做介词和连词的区别
He would have helped us but that he was short of money at the time.
这句话中but是做介词,但是我有个问题
如果把that去掉,改成He would have helped us but he was short of money at the time.试图but做连词,可不可以?
我知道一个不可以的原因,因为but引导的从句和主句无并列之意.
还有没有其他的原因
