How are you?It's been long since I last saw you -- I remember you were very busy then helping your friend get ready for her wedding (婚礼) -- I am sure it was a success.By the way,I've got a new job in a bank,so it's more money but more work unluckily.
In fact,the reason I'm sending you this is to tell you about another wedding.My brother Andy and Linda have finally set a date for their wedding -- 20th August.We'll send you an invitation in a few weeks but this is just to let you know ahead of time.Anyway,my parents want to celebrate the engagement (订婚) so they're having a special lunch on Sunday 3rd May.We're inviting relatives and close friends,so there'll be about twenty people there.We'd love to see you!It's at Martin's Restaurant,near the train station.I know it's quite a long way for you to come,but Robbie is driving up from London -- so maybe you could arrange to come up together.If not,I can meet you at the station -- just let me know when your train gets in.
I'm going away for two weeks from tomorrow,but you can phone my parents to tell them you' re coming,or send me an e-mail I really hope you can come!
