We often hear people say,“Never give up.” These can be encouraging words and words of determination.A person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails.In my opinion,the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have.Therefore,I believe that we should never give up.
I went for a school Marathon competition the other day.It was a long-distance running events,the distance of 5 kilometers,and there were six of us.I can hear people screaming for me all the way I run,they cheered me up and encouraged me to continue.During the competition,I say a couple of runners before me slowed down,I didn't know whether they were still trying to keep up,or they gave up finally.When I was half way through the journey,I was so tired and I wish I could just stop right where I was and lying on ground.But all of the sudden,I remembered how I promised myself to win this game,and all the efforts I have made before I entered this competition.Then,I made all the way down to the final point without any doubts,and won the second place of the competition.
In short,it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals.Whether we succeed in the end or not,we will learn something,and what we learn will help us to become better,more confident people.
