其中有一个rule是：
In addition and subtraction,we look at the number of decimal places.The result is expressed to the smallest number of decimal places of the numbers involved.
For example,25.34-24.0=1.3 (because the least significant digit of the second number is in tenths' place,therefore,the rule is that we should limit our final answer to one decimal place:1.3
英文不难我就不翻译了,是一个关于有效数字的规定,我想问这个规定依据着什么道理?为什么要这样做?

就是关于有效位数的规则,以参与计算的数中最少的有效位数来规定答案的有效位数,比如25.34-24.0,这两个数中24.0精确到十分位,所以结果只能精确到十分位是1.3,而不是1.34
这体现了结果的精确度.相当于测量的时候只能得到十分位的精确度,那么结果的精确度就不可能比这个高,写到百分位是没有意义的
这个主要是运用在一些试验科学中
