第一题考察的就是固定搭配.英语里面有说only to find,但是就是不说just to find.表示出乎意料.just和only的确就其本身而言没什么太大区别,但是表示意外地发现这个意思的时候,固定搭配里只能用only to find.
第二道题我竟然找到了书中的解释,是2001年八级改错第10题.直接把参考书上的分析打上来吧.
将total改为full/complete/absolute/overall.full有“充分的,最高的,满的”之意,full authority就是全权.而total的意思是“总共的,总计的,全体的”.这道题属于近义词辨析,平时要做题总结一下.
