Use Language Effectively
Concern with language abuse is not,as some believe,a foolish obsession of pedants.The purpose of language is to communicate,and when verbal ineptitude or duplicity prevents clear communication,language fails its function.For an idea to be understood,the words used to convey it must have a common meaning for both speaker who wants to deliver his message undistorted will therefore avoid obscure,imprecise,or overly wordy language.
