Therefore,there is a very large variety of Chinese cuisines.On the other hand,in Western cuisine,dishes focus on more substantial aspects such as nutrition and quality.I think these are the major differences between Chinese food and Western food.
A:Indeed,colours have different symbolic meanings to different countries.In Chinese culture,red represents fortune,wealth and happiness; whereas in Western countries,red is the colour of blood,implying impulsion,defiance and chaos.Therefore,Chinese prefer to wear red on important festivals; whereas Westerners tend to choose blue,which is often regarded as a representation of calmness and composure.
B:What do you think is the difference in terms of logics?
A:Chinese people have more abstract logics,Westerners more concrete.
B:What about their attitudes towards life?
A:To Chinese people,sensual and psychological experience is more important.Westerners focus on practicality and usefulness.
B:I agree.In general Chinese people rarely express their friendliness through means of intimate physical contact.
