住乡村的好处 英语
竴绡嘃br/>Although nowadays more and more people from the countryside move into the city, there is still a certain amount of people who prefer to live in villages. They believe that the environment of the countryside is cleaner than that of the city.Due to small amount of cars and other vehicles, there is not much air pollution. The air is fresher in the countryside. Moreover, people who live in the countryside can determine working time by themselves. They do not face too much stress and pressure from the hectic lifestyle in the city. However, the life in the countryside is inconvenient.Generally, the countryside is less developed than the city.Choices of goods and services are rather limited. For example, most schools and supermarkets are located in the city.If people want to send their children to schools or buy some life essentials, they have to travel a long distance to the city.In conclusion,I believe that the life in the countryside is inconvenient.
簩绡嘃br/>Just as more and more people are beginning to realize, there are many
advantages in country life.Despite the fact that I have never lived in the
country,I feel that life down there seems to be very pleasant and
fulfilling.
One advantage to living in the country is that the schools are smaller, thus
allowing the teachers to work closer with their students.Country teachers are
able to know their students personally and learn of their needs and interests.
Thus, students in country schools do not feel as if they were just part of a
large mass of animals; instead, they feel as if someone really cares whether
they are learning useful information or just acquiring a grade. The most
important part of country life is the closeness one gains to nature.By just
stepping out of a house and looking around, one can see trees, grass, animals,
and everything nature has to offer us.Just to look up in the sky at night and
to see the many thousands of stars glimmering in the dark,or to see lightning
bugs swarming around tall, majestic trees gives one such a feeling of closeness
to nature that one may never want to leave but stay there forever, watching and
wondering in awe at the beauty of nature.I know that I will always love the
country, and someday I hope I have the opportunity to live there and enjoy all
the advantages that it has to offer, everything that the city could never hope
to provide.

A quote from famed writer William Penn:"The country life is to be preferr'd; for there we see the works of God; but in cities little else but the works of men." For some, that best sums up the advantages of country living. But there are other perks.
Privacy
If you like privacy, living in the country works well -- particularly if your home is situated in a remote area and you don't have neighbors for miles. This also provides solitude.
Less Pollution
The countryside is generally quiet and peaceful -- certainly not as contaminated with toxic pollutants as the city. There isn't as much traffic or smog or pollution from industry.Ecologically speaking, the advantages to living in the country include eating locally grown food; less pollution because cars are not idling in traffic as happens in the city; and land on which to grow your own food and raise your own animals.
Healthier Pregnancies
A pregnant woman who lives in the city is more apt to go into premature labor than a pregnant woman living in the country -- particularly if the woman lives near a concentration of main roads and highways, notes Babyzone.com.Exposure to air pollution produced by car and truck emissions may trigger preterm labor. The loud noise of city traffic that prevents a pregnant woman from sleeping well at night may also be a contributing factor.Pregnant city dwellers' pregnancies were shortened by an average of 4.4 percent according to a study released in 2011 by Adrian G.Barnett,et al,called "Increased Traffic Exposure and Negative Birth Outcomes:A Prospective Cohort in Australia."
Space
In the country, you have more space. If you want to build on your home, you have the room to do it.If you want to construct a shed or a barn or an art studio, you have the room.Space is at a premium in urban areas, which is not the case in the countryside. You can even have more kids than you would have had if you had stayed in your tiny city dwelling.Depending on where you live in the country, you can have mountain views, lake views, ocean views or pasture-like scenes right outside your door.
Ready Access
Outdoor aficionados may prefer the country because they have ready access to hiking, climbing, bike riding, camping, fishing, hunting and numerous places where you can do just about anything that you want without traveling somewhere else to do it.Step out your back door and you can be in or near a nature trail.
簩绡嘥he Advantages of Living Outside the City
Although cities can offer more job and shopping options, living in the countryside has some advantages, including cleaner air and wider green spaces.According to "The Telegraph," people residing in rural areas tend to live longer,as a result of air quality and a lifestyle closer to nature.Lower crime rates and better community life are other advantages of living outside the city.
Close to Nature
Although most cities have parks and other green spaces, the green area available in rural areas is much larger.Countryside dwellers are often closer to forested areas, where they can walk and observe wildlife.Generally, people living out of the city also have space for larger gardens where they can grow their own vegetables and flowers.
Pure Air
Traffic and a high number of factories are the main causes of air pollution in cities. In addition to having fewer cars and factories per square mile, rural areas generally offer cleaner air to their residents because of their larger forested areas. When making their own food through a process called photosynthesis, plants consume carbon dioxide and liberate oxygen, thus purifying the air.
Lower Crime Rate
Crime rates in cities are much higher in comparison to rural areas.According to Forbes,Detroit has one of the higher crime rates in the United States,in a proportion of 1,220 violent crimes per 100,000 people,as of 2008.Less populated rural areas are also less likely to have large socially marginalized areas and see the formation of gangs, which are often involved in murders, robberies, rapes and other crimes.
When living in smaller communities, people tend to know their neighbors and have a better community life.According to the "Daily Mail," 70 percent of Britons living in rural areas used to live in cities and moved to the countryside expecting a better quality of life.People living in the countryside tend to talk more to their neighbors, use local shops and make friends locally.
